General Comments

Commercial fashion photographer based in Chicago.

Fashion interested me long before the thought of picking up a camera ever entered my head. When I bought my first (very British) waffle sweater from Top Man at the age of 14--as an Australian kid going to an American school in England--I realized the power of clothing to shape people’s perceptions of oneself. But it took two years of fashion school to realize I wasn't much good with a needle and thread. A decade of advertising jobs later I discovered digital photography and found a way of being a part of the fashion world that works for me.

Much of what I’ve learned has come through assisting photographers whose work I've admired. I also shoot regularly for Elite Chicago's New Gen division. I have a 5000 sq ft studio space with roof access located in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, right off the Division exit of 90/94 and steps from the Division stop on the Blue Line.

Test shoots: $200

Includes up to 5 looks and a link to the best 30-50 shots from which you can choose 6 to be fully retouched. Hair, makeup and wardrobe not included, but I can provide recommendations.
